About The artist

Emanuel Soza-Foias (he/him) is a 22-year-old primarily self-taught photographer with six years of experience, specializing in portraits, wildlife portraits, sporting events, aerial photography, and landscapes.

Growing up in the small, rural town of Williamstown, Massachusetts, he was deeply influenced by the natural surroundings, spending much of my time outdoors exploring local creeks, ponds, and forests. His journey into photography began with the purchase of a camera, which he shared with his older brother. He started by photographing small songbirds, deer, and waterfowl near his home, but now capture species across the United States and abroad.

His fascination with the natural world led him to pursue a degree in Zoology and a minor in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont. He currently works with LifeTouch as a school portrait photographer and has worked with the Information and Outreach Department of Vermont Fish & Wildlife to photograph Wildlife Management Areas and native species.

You can find his artwork featured in two galleries in Vermont, including Artisan’s Hand in Montpelier and Frog Hollow in Burlington.
